I’m Janine Pforr, and I am a science communicator and astrophysicist. Welcome to my site!
As a professional astrophysicist, I studied other galaxies, their properties and their evolution throughout the history of the Universe together with scientists from all over the world in large collaborations. I regularly used data from ground- and space-based telescopes, such as the Hubble Space Telescope, and was involved in the preparation of the first observations to be carried out with the upcoming James Webb Space Telescope. When I am not exploring deep space, I spend my spare time on all sorts of adventures related to art, photography, ceramics, and nature.
I speak fluently German, and English, and an advanced level of Dutch. Contact me if you need someone to give a presentation or talk about all things astronomy for any occasion.
